Suzy Q is about as hard-edged musically as we get with lots of layered distorted guitars, some straight out of my Marshall and some through a wah. Kind of late in the game I was listening to Foo Fighters album Echos, Silence, Patience and Grace and especially the song Erase Replace and just loving the quiet section in the middle. We've been looking for ways to add more dynamics to our songs and I had this idea to add a quiet Fender part to the beginning of the bridge (right before the solo). I gave it a shot and we think it turned out great!

Lyrically the song is about the divisions in our country and the obsession by some with the Q-Anon conspiracy theory.  I think that's pretty obvious :-)
